About the role

  • New Business Administrator processing life insurance applications for PPI, an insurance marketing organization supporting independent advisors. Managing underwriting, policy settlement, advisor communication, and WealthServ records.

Responsibilities

  • Process new business applications through issue and settlement while maintaining compliance, accuracy and timeliness
  • Manage assigned files from submission to commission and identify urgencies or problems affecting processing
  • Order underwriting requirements and ensure medical and financial documentation is received
  • Prepare requirements for mailing to insurance carriers and advisors
  • Build relationships with assigned advisors and serve as a consistent point of contact
  • Communicate application status between insurance carriers, advisors and paramedical facilities
  • Review issued policies for accuracy and ensure advisors receive copies
  • Settle policies by following up on outstanding requirements and obtaining signatures
  • Record progress in WealthServ according to service standards
  • Inform advisors about underwriting details and resolve underwriting-related issues
  • Verify and update carrier feeds where applicable
  • Support PPI’s ESG commitments
  • Perform additional responsibilities and special projects

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2-5 years’ administrative experience, preferably in the insurance industry with an emphasis on new business processes
  • Industry designation(s) (FLMI, ACS, AIAA) considered an asset
  • Superior organizational and time management skills with proven ability to handle high volumes of work and tight deadlines
  • Proven accuracy, attention to detail and data entry skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships and work within a team environment
  • Ability to represent self, office and organization in a professional, positive manner at all times
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner
  • Knowledge of WealthServ and Microsoft Office programs; Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint in particular
