About the role
- IT and data designer building secure applications, data pipelines, warehouses, and analytics solutions. Supporting iA Financial Group’s insurance and financial services operations across Canada.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business needs and translate them into practical technology solutions aligned with architectural guidelines
- Design, develop, test, and maintain application and data components
- Create models, data flows, processing rules, and data integration, transformation, and loading pipelines
- Implement and enhance data warehouses, data marts, interfaces, and analytical solutions
- Ensure data quality, traceability, and operational reliability
- Act as a technical reference and guide the delivery team
- Promote best practices and ensure technical quality of deliverables
- Coordinate testing activities and code reviews
- Contribute to estimations, planning, documentation, obsolescence management, change management, and production deployments
- Integrate security, compliance, and access management requirements
- Participate in incident resolution and audit activities
- Collaborate with business partners, architects, and multidisciplinary delivery teams
Requirements
- Significant experience in designing and developing IT solutions
- Strong proficiency in SQL
- Solid knowledge of Python or an equivalent programming language
- Solid understanding of data modeling, databases, and ETL/ELT concepts
- Familiarity with software development, testing, security, and deployment practices
- Experience with Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar technologies considered an asset
- Knowledge of the insurance and financial services industry considered an asset
- Advanced level of French
- Intermediate level of English
- Daily communication with unilingual English-speaking suppliers and partners across Canada via email and phone
