About the role

  • Senior Risk Management Advisor supporting risk governance across iA Financial Group's insurance, savings, and retirement businesses. Advising teams on risk assessment, mitigation, monitoring, and executive reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the integration of risk management frameworks, methodologies, and tools within the business sector
  • Coordinate and align with corporate risk management and compliance functions and other stakeholders
  • Strengthen adoption of risk management practices and a proactive, integrated risk management culture
  • Build trusted relationships with managers and business partners and understand their challenges and priorities
  • Support business teams in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks through structured methodology and tailored advice
  • Develop recommendations and assist with action plans to mitigate risks
  • Develop and enhance risk monitoring mechanisms, including risk indicators, operational risk events, and control effectiveness
  • Prepare analyses, executive summaries, and presentations for governance committees and decision-making bodies
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of team standards, methods, processes, and tools

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar risk management role
  • Experience in the insurance or financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of risk management concepts, methodologies, and best practices
  • Ability to understand business challenges, think strategically, and anticipate risks
  • Ability to influence, advise, and build trusted relationships with various stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and judgment skills
  • Ability to simplify complex topics and communicate effectively with different audiences
  • Intermediate level of English proficiency
  • Advanced level of French proficiency
  • Ability to communicate by email and phone with English-speaking and French-speaking clients and partners across Canada on a daily basis
