About the role
- Data science intern analyzing HR data and developing predictive models and AI solutions. Supporting iA Financial Group’s insurance, savings, and wealth management business.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and prepare HR data by exploring, cleansing, structuring, and documenting data from HR systems and the organization’s data platforms
- Rapidly test hypotheses, compare results with observations from user teams, and integrate feedback loops
- Apply responsible AI principles and contribute to explainable, fair, secure solutions that comply with governance requirements and privacy regulations
- Develop precise, well-defined solutions addressing business problems using innovation, automation, and artificial intelligence tools, including agent design
- Develop predictive models and design approaches to forecast the future evolution of HR metrics, including retirements and hiring trends
- Validate performance by monitoring performance indicators, analyzing false positives, prioritization gaps, potential biases, and recommendation quality
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a master’s degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Statistics, or a related field
- Demonstrates autonomy

- Is recognized for their curiosity
- Knowledge of Python and common data science tools
- Knowledge of machine learning, AI, data analysis, and model validation methods
- Previous experience with the Power Platform (Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Power Apps, and Power BI)
- Interest in LLMs, recommendation systems, applied AI, and people analytics
- Knowledge of SQL, Git, and cloud-based data environments
- Experience with Azure, Azure Machine Learning, Azure OpenAI, Snowflake, or another cloud platform is an asset
