About the role

  • Docket Fulfillment Specialist processing court docket and legal document requests for Innosphere, a remote technology staffing and software development company. Researching, retrieving, organizing, and delivering documents accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the docket request intake database and process incoming court docket and legal document requests
  • Review requests to identify the appropriate court, docket, and required documents
  • Research and retrieve dockets and legal filings using online legal research and court resources
  • Submit requests to state and federal courts when documents are not readily available
  • Complete court request forms with required information
  • Process document retrieval fees using company-provided payment methods
  • Enter request, court, document, and payment information into the docket fulfillment system
  • Download, organize, and attach retrieved documents to corresponding client requests
  • Return completed requests and documents to the appropriate requester promptly
  • Handle missing dockets, sealed entries, unavailable documents, and other reported issues
  • Monitor outstanding requests and follow up to ensure timely fulfillment
  • Maintain records of completed requests and associated costs for monthly client billing
  • Communicate request status, issues, and exceptions to team members and management
  • Follow established processes and quality standards for accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality

Requirements

  • Previous experience in data entry, document processing, administrative support, or a related role
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency with computer applications, databases, and data entry systems
  • Ability to learn and navigate new software, online research tools, and document management systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple requests and priorities
  • Ability to follow established procedures while identifying and resolving issues
  • Must be currently residing in Canada
  • Must be legally permitted to work in Canada
  • Successful completion of criminal, educational, and employment history background checks
  • Legal education or coursework in law, legal studies, paralegal studies, or a related field (preferred)
  • Experience working with legal documents, court records, or legal databases (preferred)
  • Familiarity with online legal research platforms or court document systems (preferred)
  • Previous experience in a legal, financial, or professional services environment (preferred)
  • Experience processing document retrieval requests or working with government or court systems (preferred)
  • Familiarity with document management or workflow management systems (preferred)
