About the role

  • Trust and commissions agent supporting PEAK’s Canadian wealth management operations. Handling reconciliations, advisor commissions, tax slips, controls, and automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily bank and trust reconciliations
  • Prepare deposits and bank transfers between trust and corporate accounts
  • Follow up on and resolve outstanding items
  • Participate in internal and external audits
  • Process advisor commissions, payments, and adjustments
  • Import and reconcile commission files
  • Respond to advisors’ inquiries regarding commissions
  • Assist with the preparation of T4A tax slips
  • Collaborate with various teams and internal partners
  • Participate in continuous improvement and automation projects
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and cross-training within the team

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Good understanding of trust accounts and the financial services and banking industries
  • DEP/DEC in Accounting or Finance, completed or in progress (an asset)
  • Ability to work in both French and English
  • French required for positions permanently based in Quebec
  • English required to communicate with clients and partners primarily located outside Quebec
  • Knowledge of AI and openness to exploring and implementing new technologies
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and teamwork skills
