About the role

  • Security director at Intact, an insurer, protecting customer and broker digital channels and third-party risk platforms. Leading technical teams, governance, strategy, and security operations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deliver, and operate security platforms securing customers’ and brokers’ digital experiences
  • Oversee platforms used to assess and mitigate third-party risks
  • Manage managers and professionals responsible for operating security solutions and delivering road maps and 3+ year strategies
  • Collaborate with IT colleagues and business peers to balance user experience and security for customer and broker channels
  • Lead third-party risk assessments and continuous third-party monitoring
  • Manage steering and governance committees and represent team challenges and findings at executive forums
  • Create and publish team backlog and capacity plans
  • Build strong relationships with development teams for customer- and broker-facing channels
  • Ensure technology aligns with security practices and enterprise architecture
  • Participate in IT and acquisition projects
  • Advise IT and business stakeholders on customer, broker, and third-party security
  • Prioritize resources across projects, requests, and issues
  • Establish and manage multidisciplinary teams
  • Lead collaboratively using industry best practices to support IT infrastructure and design activities
  • Ensure appropriate training and expertise within the team

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience managing large technical teams
  • Experience managing platforms for customer identity and access management, cloud-native application protection, and/or third-party risk management
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and initiatives
  • Experience in heterogeneous and complex IT environments, including cloud, SaaS, and on-premises systems
  • Bilingualism in French and English is considered an asset
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • High personal integrity and ability to handle confidential matters professionally
  • Appropriate judgment and maturity
  • Negotiation and coaching skills
  • Demonstrated integrity and discipline
