About the role

  • Senior Network Analyst advancing Intact’s Canadian property and casualty insurance network infrastructure. Supporting secure LAN/WAN, data centers, automation, performance, and 24x7 operations.

Responsibilities

  • Evolve, support, and govern the worldwide network and its security
  • Drive the advancement, performance, and stability of infrastructure and associated components, with a strong focus on automation
  • Collaborate with peers to assure smooth operation of network infrastructure
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical problems with network equipment and software
  • Assess and address vulnerabilities in network equipment using vendor-recommended solutions
  • Provide high-quality internal and external customer service
  • Implement and support LAN, WAN, switching/routing, and data center infrastructure, including Cisco ACI and Netscaler load balancer
  • Ensure network infrastructure engineering patterns meet SLA requirements
  • Write and review change requests as part of change management
  • Monitor system performance and implement performance optimization
  • Participate in documentation, including network diagrams, staff/vendor contacts, and monitoring, resource, and inventory management tools
  • Collaborate with managers to develop and monitor standards aligned with company guidelines
  • Assist with escalated issues and participate in problem management activities
  • Participate in an on-call rotation providing 24x7x365 coverage for critical core and customer infrastructure
  • Work overtime during emergencies when required

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Networking or Technology
  • 5 years of experience in an IP-based environment
  • Hands-on experience with network hardware, software, LAN/WAN, data center infrastructures, and connectivity
  • Good understanding of TCP/IP protocols, especially routing IP packets using BGP, EIGRP, and MPLS
  • Medium-level knowledge of network administration, architecture, and engineering in mission-critical environments
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism in English and French is required to interact regularly with English-speaking colleagues across Canada
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada; no Canadian work experience required
  • Must participate in an on-call support rotation for 24x7x365 coverage
  • Overtime in emergencies is required
