About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of experts responsible for applying accounting standards
  • Lead the financial governance program
  • Oversee the continuous improvement of financial reporting practices
  • Coach, engage, and develop a team of experienced professionals
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert in accounting standards, internal controls, and financial governance
  • Advise business lines
  • Contribute to complex investment and financing decisions
  • Contribute to the optimization of financial processes and the quality of disclosed information
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a transforming environment
  • Participate in strategic initiatives supporting the growth of Quebec businesses

Requirements

  • University degree in business administration, with a concentration in finance or accounting
  • Member of the Ordre des CPA
  • 8 to 10 years of relevant experience
  • At least 3 years of team management experience
  • Extensive experience in accounting, finance, or audit
  • Excellent knowledge of IFRS, Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS), and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE)
  • Good knowledge of the financial sector
  • Good knowledge of the regulatory environment, particularly Regulation 52-109 and IFRS
  • Good knowledge of industry practices, including financial and non-financial risk management methodologies, control frameworks, governance associated with the Three Lines Model, and disclosure practices
