Responsibilities
Serve as the project technical lead
Participate in assessing client needs and the services required
Prepare service proposals and technical reports
Build the technical team and manage projects
Participate in preparing and carrying out the various stages of projects within organizations
Identify and present findings, propose improvement opportunities, and support alignment and prioritization
Explore solutions and develop action plans
Act as a consulting expert in identifying and applying manufacturing production management methods, including LEAN, Six Sigma, SMED, and 5S
Develop digital solutions and scenarios incorporating AI
Map and analyze processes and coach organizations in identifying improvement opportunities
Contribute to the technical advancement of the Directorate’s projects in industrial engineering, management information systems (ERP, MES), and AI
Analyze the use of existing information systems and recommend improvements
Travel to client sites
Contribute to the enhancement of services related to digital transformation and Industry 4.0
Provide technological guidance to Québec companies to support smart, sustainable innovation and productivity
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, technology management, production management, technology management, or another relevant and equivalent discipline
Minimum of 10 years of experience in similar roles
Additional training related to Manufacturing 4.0, digital transformation, or AI is an asset
Industrial experience related to the required areas of expertise, including participation in technology projects, system selection and implementation, and process reengineering
Knowledge of techniques and tools used in process mapping
Knowledge of management information systems or production execution and shop-floor data collection systems (ERP, MES, WMS, SCADA, etc.)
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures effectively and concisely
Experience facilitating teams and managing multi-stakeholder projects
Recognized LEAN Six Sigma certification or relevant experience demonstrating excellent knowledge of continuous improvement models, methodologies, and tools
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and MS Project
Intermediate English proficiency enabling interaction with English-speaking clients
