About the role

  • Analyste principal analysant des dossiers de financement complexes pour Investissement Québec. Recommandations de crédit, évaluation des risques et soutien au réseau régional québécois.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and prepare financing files of moderate to high complexity.
  • Develop recommendations regarding financing terms, monitoring conditions, covenants, and required security.
  • Work closely with the Account Managers responsible for the files.
  • Communicate analysis results and recommendations to Account Managers.
  • Propose alternative solutions when necessary.
  • Enter financial statements into the internal software system.
  • Assess credit risk using the Corporation’s rating tools.
  • Ensure files progress through to disbursement.
  • Work with the various levels of credit approval.
  • Monitor changes to policies, procedures, and processes, as well as trends in credit and regulatory matters.
  • Recommend strategies to increase business volume, ensure sound risk management, improve portfolio profitability, and strengthen business relationships.
  • Serve as a resource for analysts and contribute to developing their financial structuring skills.
  • Accompany Account Managers to client meetings as needed.
  • Support Account Managers and managers on significant or major financing files through analysis, research, and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or another relevant discipline.
  • Have a minimum of four years of relevant experience as a business financing professional.
  • Be fluent in spoken and written French.
  • Have experience in loan writing and the ability to analyze and structure complex financial arrangements.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of the Corporation’s products, services, policies, and procedures.
  • Be able to provide first-rate customer service to both internal and external clients.
  • Be able to develop win-win solutions through innovative ideas.
  • Have knowledge of financial analysis techniques, security, and standard financing practices.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is an asset.
