About the role

  • Senior Technical Infrastructure Program Manager leading remediation across IREN’s AI infrastructure and hyperscale data centres. Driving reliability, scheduling, governance, and operational improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Technical Infrastructure Program Group
  • Own Canadian remediation and operational improvement programs across IREN's existing AI infrastructure portfolio
  • Identify infrastructure gaps, recurring operational issues, and opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and scalability
  • Develop remediation roadmaps aligned with business priorities and operational objectives
  • Coordinate execution across Engineering, Operations, Networking, Facilities, Procurement, Security, and OEM vendors
  • Drive measurable improvements in infrastructure stability, service reliability, and operational maturity
  • Transition newly deployed infrastructure into steady-state operations and continuous improvement programs
  • Own the strategy and execution of large-scale operational remediation programs
  • Establish program objectives, milestones, and measurable success criteria
  • Build governance frameworks supporting infrastructure reliability initiatives
  • Develop and maintain Stage Gate Reviews, RACI Matrices, Risk Registers, Dependency Tracking, Executive Dashboards, and Infrastructure Delivery Playbooks
  • Improve program management practices across the Technical Program Management organization
  • Develop and maintain integrated program schedules
  • Own milestone planning, dependency management, schedule forecasting, and critical path analysis
  • Coordinate long-lead procurement activities
  • Monitor schedule performance and manage delivery risks
  • Provide program reporting, forecasts, and executive updates
  • Lead remediation initiatives supporting GPU Cloud Infrastructure, HPC, AI Compute Platforms, data centre, network, fibre connectivity, power and cooling systems, capacity optimization, operational readiness, and lifecycle management
  • Partner with OEM vendors and network providers
  • Communicate program health, risks, and strategic recommendations to Senior Leadership
  • Build relationships across Engineering, Operations, Construction, Procurement, and executive leadership
  • Facilitate data-driven decision-making and transparent reporting
  • Resolve cross-functional issues while maintaining business alignment
  • Support program forecasting and capital planning
  • Develop mitigation strategies for technical, operational, and vendor-related risks
  • Mentor Technical Program Managers and project team members
  • Participate in recruitment and onboarding
  • Promote standardized program management practices
  • Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Contribute to the maturity of IREN's Technical Program Management function

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Construction Management, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of Technical Program or Project Management experience
  • Experience delivering enterprise-scale infrastructure remediation or operational improvement programs
  • Experience within compute, networking, storage, cloud, HPC, AI infrastructure, systems administration, or data centre operations
  • Strong experience managing cross-functional engineering teams and executive stakeholders
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to influence technical decisions without direct authority
  • Experience supporting AI infrastructure or hyperscale data centre environments
  • Experience with GPU compute platforms and HPC infrastructure
  • Experience managing operational remediation, infrastructure lifecycle, or reliability improvement programs
  • Familiarity with Dell, NVIDIA, Lenovo, Supermicro, and multi-OEM environments
  • Knowledge of ROCE, InfiniBand, or similar enterprise networking technologies
  • Experience with NetBox, Nlyte DCIM, or similar platforms
  • Advanced scheduling experience using Jira, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, APM, or CSM certification
