About the role

  • Senior Technical Program Manager leading IREN’s Canadian AI cloud and hyperscale GPU data centre delivery programs. Governing budgets, risks, resources, customers, and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Technical Program Management group
  • Own delivery of strategic AI infrastructure programs from initiation through operational handoff
  • Define program objectives, success criteria, governance, and execution strategies
  • Ensure delivery aligns with business priorities, customer commitments, and organizational goals
  • Manage multiple concurrent infrastructure programs
  • Lead AI infrastructure expansion, GPU cloud deployment, data centre capacity growth, customer infrastructure delivery, rack deployment, fibre infrastructure, network expansion, commissioning, capacity enablement, and multi-site deployment programs
  • Coordinate execution by Senior Technical Project Managers and Technical Project Managers
  • Establish governance frameworks, milestones, decision gates, and success metrics
  • Manage scope, dependencies, budgets, schedules, and risks
  • Ensure accurate and timely executive reporting
  • Develop scalable delivery frameworks
  • Prioritize program activities and coordinate resource planning across Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and Technical Project Management
  • Communicate program health, financial performance, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
  • Influence executive decisions through data-driven analysis
  • Build relationships with internal leadership teams and external partners
  • Ensure customer infrastructure meets contractual commitments
  • Coordinate customer-facing milestones, readiness activities, and delivery schedules
  • Partner with Sales, Engineering, and Operations on customer onboarding and infrastructure availability
  • Support capital planning, forecasting, budgeting, and financial monitoring
  • Identify delivery risks and implement mitigation plans
  • Align long-lead procurement with delivery schedules
  • Provide functional leadership, mentorship, hiring, onboarding, professional development, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Construction Management, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of Technical Program or Infrastructure Program Management experience
  • Experience leading large-scale infrastructure delivery programs
  • Strong understanding of compute, networking, storage, and data centre environments
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, risks, and executive stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • Experience supporting hyperscale AI infrastructure or GPU cloud environments
  • Experience delivering multi-site infrastructure expansion programs
  • Familiarity with Dell, NVIDIA, Lenovo, Supermicro, and enterprise infrastructure platforms
  • Knowledge of ROCE, InfiniBand, or similar technologies
  • Experience with NetBox, Nlyte DCIM, or equivalent platforms
  • Advanced scheduling experience using Jira, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent
  • PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, or PRINCE2 certification
