About the role
- Engineering leader overseeing communications products for Jane’s clinic management SaaS platform. Building SMS, messaging, email, and fax capabilities used by 70,000+ clinics.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Communications group's engineering teams, comprising about 15 engineers and 3 engineering managers
- Deliver outcomes across SMS, secure messaging, email, and fax used by 70,000+ clinics
- Build new products from the ground up, including taking two-way text messaging from discovery through general availability
- Own reliability and deliverability at scale across integrations with Twilio, Sendbird, and AWS
- Partner with Product and Design in a triad
- Translate technical work's impact for product stakeholders and advocate for important technical investments
- Champion practical AI adoption in engineering processes and patient-facing communication
- Develop engineering managers and build high-performing teams
Requirements
- Experience leading engineering managers and senior engineers across multiple teams in a product-led SaaS environment
- Track record of building new products inside an established platform, from zero to general availability
- Product perspective beyond engineering, including challenging what to build and why
- Clear evidence of developing engineering managers and building high-performing teams
- Experience moving quickly through iteration in environments with regulatory awareness
- Healthcare or fintech experience is an asset
- Candidates must be currently living and working in Canada
- Must be eligible to work in Canada without employer sponsorship
