About the role

Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor improving quality and reliability across JELD-WEN window and door manufacturing. Driving SPC, FMEA, traceability, and Lean process improvements.

Responsibilities

Support and promote the facility’s quality improvement efforts
Work with employees, suppliers and customers to develop improvements in quality and reliability of manufactured window and door products
Gather data, make decisions, solve problems, report and present quality performance results
Support process improvements to ensure the highest quality of products
Lead improvement activities related to the quality of the manufacturing process safely and efficiently
Comply with JELD-WEN EH&S requirements and applicable legal requirements, policies, standards, rules, and programs
Ensure customer satisfaction while reducing costs
Create or improve visibility and control into quality processes across manufacturing operations and supplier networks
Minimize scrap, rework and returned materials
Build complete product and process traceability into production
Improve communication and collaboration across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and distribution
Standardize processes for responding to adverse events across the enterprise
Update quality business processes as best practices emerge
Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement teams focused on enterprise quality processes
Monitor adverse events in real time
Collect data from manufacturing cells and departments
Link operational metrics with financial metrics
Manage document management, traceability, SPC, dashboards, NC/CAPA, automated product quality planning, and FMEA
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar related equivalent will be required
Three to five-year experience in a manufacturing environment with a well-rounded background in the quality field
Previous experience with ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949 standards
Five years of Lean manufacturing experience
Strong Microsoft computer knowledge
Knowledge of SPC (CPK, PPK)
Exceptional organizational, written, verbal communication and customer service skills will be required
Understanding of KPI’s relating to quality and customer satisfaction
Ability to drive measurable improvements in all areas of quality
Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining standards, methods, testing and evaluation of a data driven quality program
