About the role
- Senior Cloud Engineer designing secure Azure and AWS infrastructure for JLL Technologies’ enterprise real estate data platform. Driving CI/CD, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code, governance, and reliability across engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end cloud solutions across compute, networking, identity, storage, and messaging
- Drive cloud architecture decisions across Azure and AWS
- Define enterprise architecture patterns and cloud best practices
- Architect and automate deployment solutions for containerized workloads, serverless, and data/messaging services
- Standardize CI/CD practices, pipeline design, branching strategy, automated testing, release gating, and rollback
- Lead infrastructure-as-code adoption across Azure and AWS
- Manage shared Kubernetes cluster architecture, including namespaces, multi-tenancy, RBAC, and workload isolation
- Evaluate and introduce tooling to improve automation, deployment speed, and reliability
- Establish observability standards for monitoring, logging, alerting, and tracing
- Define and enforce data and infrastructure governance practices
- Lead incident response and post-mortems
- Mentor engineers in cloud architecture, DevOps, and troubleshooting
- Drive best-practice adoption across scrum teams
- Act as a technical escalation point for complex architecture, deployment, and infrastructure issues
- Build infrastructure, tooling, and engineering practices supporting data and software products at scale
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Cloud Architecture, DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering, including multiple large or complex projects
- Hands-on experience designing end-to-end enterprise cloud solutions
- Deep CI/CD expertise with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI
- Broad Azure and/or AWS experience across compute, networking, identity, storage, and messaging
- Proven Kubernetes experience, including shared or multi-tenant clusters
- Strong infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or CloudFormation
- Working knowledge of data governance and quality practices for cloud and infrastructure platforms
- Strong cross-functional communication, particularly with data engineering and security teams
- Experience with GitOps tooling such as ArgoCD
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices
- Experience in a multi-cloud or hybrid cloud and on-premises network environment
- Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or CKA are preferred
- Ability to work remotely in Toronto, ON
