About the role

Journeyman Welder responsibile for custom metal fabrication at Silent-Aire in Nisku, Alberta. Ensuring quality and efficiency in production processes using MIG, ARC, and TIG welding techniques.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the fabrication of custom prototypes from supplied drawings.
Fabrication of custom jigs and fixtures to produce production parts that meet customer specifications.
Fabrication of metal structures using jigs and fixtures in a high paced production environment.
Work with Supervisors and Lead Hands to ensure continuous improvements in work cells.
Hitting quotas, and welding according to re-set parameters using MIG, ARC, and TIG welding processes.

Licensed Journeyman Welder in Alberta.
Working towards Interprovincial Red Seal or CWB tickets.
Valid welding certification, Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), certified in all positions.
Experience with routine maintenance operations.
Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Strong attention to detail.

24/7 availability may be required.
Travel to off-site locations may be required.
Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment).
Overtime as required. Hazards associated with the trade.
Work both indoors and outdoors, occasionally at heights. May be exposed to construction sites.
