About the role
- Workday Test Lead Consultant delivering manual and automated testing services for Kainos clients. Applying Workday expertise, leading test consulting engagements, and improving delivery practices.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Kainos testing commitments to clients on time and to required quality standards
- Provide primarily manual testing services
- Ensure the Smart automated testing tool is used effectively for test events in the region in line with client contracts
- Apply Workday expertise on high-profile projects
- Address complex functional challenges and act as a key client point of contact
- Build customer relationships and shape and deliver fit-for-purpose, commercially sound solutions
- Provide expert consulting and guidance based on each customer's business
- Capture lessons learned and improve best-practice recommendations, project delivery processes, and supporting artefacts
- Collaborate with others to centralize communication for #OneTeam reporting
- Develop new skills and services aligned with current and future market requirements
- Help improve tools, processes, project approaches, and testing artefacts
Requirements
- Strong understanding of the quality assurance lifecycle, testing, and automated testing in the Workday environment
- Strong customer focus and ability to assess needs, build relationships, manage expectations, and escalate appropriately
- Ability to shape and deliver test consulting engagements that drive business value
- Ability to create and maintain testing collateral across service offerings
- Extensive commercial experience in a software testing environment, ideally client-facing
- Good understanding of Workday products, preferably with a Financials background
- Strong awareness of technology trends, particularly cloud computing and SaaS
- Degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including with senior client audiences and in remote working situations
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and make sensible decisions under pressure
- Ability to maintain a network of external contacts
- Strong consulting skills, including presenting, leading workshops, demonstrating, and explaining complex functionality or solutions
- Ability to implement improvements in tools and/or processes
- Commercial understanding of utilization within a services organization
- Ability to travel to customer sites in the same region; minimal out-of-region travel may be required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant commercial environment
- Experience creating and working to project plans
- Ability to participate as part of a team
- Workday Financials Certification is desirable
- Professional qualifications in area of expertise are desirable
- Experience in post-deployment services is desirable
