About the role
- Continuous Improvement Engineering Co-op improving production processes for Kardium’s Globe Pulsed Field System. Analyzing operations, leading safety projects, and building KPI dashboards.
Responsibilities
- Plan, facilitate, and execute operational projects using continuous improvement tools
- Improve processes on the production floor and across business functions such as logistics and planning
- Benchmark processes, develop process flow maps, and conduct simulation studies
- Conduct cycle time studies for operational tasks
- Identify and lead safety improvement projects in operational areas
- Analyze data and develop dashboards supporting operational KPIs
- Design and deliver training content for operations teams
- Deliver workshops, team sessions, and hands-on support to increase awareness of Continuous Improvement principles
- Apply strategies such as 5S to improve production-floor efficiency
- Create metrics and dashboards to drive actions and projects
Requirements
- Strong analytical ability and curious problem-solving approach
- Desire to work as part of a team to implement efficiency improvements and reduce expenses
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Enrolled in a post-secondary program such as industrial/manufacturing engineering, operations/business management, or another program related to business operations
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
