About the role

Equipment Engineering Co-op improving manufacturing equipment and processes at Kardium, a medical-device company developing atrial-fibrillation treatments. Supporting maintenance, infrastructure, CAD fixtures, and 5S initiatives.

Responsibilities

Improve equipment management efficiency
Conduct equipment efficiency and downtime studies
Assist with spare parts inventory management and sourcing
Develop maintenance plans and troubleshooting procedures with engineers
Assist with calibration management
Organize and execute infrastructure projects
Develop equipment tracking and management systems
Catalog and organize production hand tools as part of the 5S program
Design and implement fixtures and equipment to improve manufacturing processes using CAD software
Work with the equipment and facilities team

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methodologies
Enrolled in a post-secondary program such as Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or another manufacturing-related program
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
