Responsibilities
Assist with design tasks including calculations, technical report writing, and cost estimates
Assist in preparing and implementing technical databases and computer-based hydrologic and hydraulic models
Perform data collection, organization, analysis, and management
Sketch or prepare design details for drawings
Support field monitoring of project construction sites
Perform field site visits for inventory, review, and assessment of features or infrastructure
Write task documentation and results presentations and discussions
Requirements
4- or preferably 8-month co-op term, starting in January 2026
Current enrolment in a Bachelor of Science or Applied Science in Civil Engineering program
Proficiency with the MS Office suite of products and willingness to grow skills
Experience with ArcGIS or other GIS software would be an asset
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
Ability to work with team members in a multi-disciplinary environment
Desire to learn new skills and eagerness to grow within the role
Clean Driver’s Abstract and willingness to travel
Must be physically able to conduct field visits, including handling and operating equipment, traveling to remote areas by vehicle, boat, air or foot, and conducting outdoor site visits in all weather conditions on uneven/varying ground terrain
