About the role
- Intern backend developer researching architectures and building scalable prototypes. Supporting Kinaxis’s AI-powered supply-chain orchestration platform through cloud and software experimentation.
Responsibilities
- Help determine the best architecture and technology solutions for challenging software problems
- Develop software prototypes to prove out architectural ideas
- Research and recommend appropriate software technology
- Test prototypes for function, performance, and scale
- Perform additional projects as requested
- Work with the Architecture & Innovation team and Product Group on architecture evolution, innovation, prototyping, and technical feasibility
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in full-time education or a recent/upcoming graduate within 12 months of the placement end date
- Students in Computer Science or related programs
- Familiarity with software development in Windows and Linux environment
- Programming experience with one or more of C/C++, .NET/C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, Go, Rust, SQL
- Experience with public cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Strong drive to explore and experiment
- Familiarity with serverless computing, database concepts, micro-services development, Kubernetes and Docker, NodeJS, Kafka, Machine Learning, or Big Data and Analytics would help
