About the role

  • Procurement Coordinator supporting purchasing, sourcing, supplier onboarding, and purchase orders for Kinaxis’s AI-powered supply chain orchestration platform. Improving procurement workflows and spend visibility from Ottawa headquarters.

Responsibilities

  • Process purchase requests for assigned categories, coordinating requirements, approvals, and follow-up
  • Lead relevant sourcing activities by gathering supplier quotes, compiling bid assessments, and preparing award recommendations
  • Support supplier qualification and onboarding with Accounts Payable
  • Issue and manage assigned purchase orders through their lifecycle
  • Support delivery, billing, and receiving questions
  • Support lower-complexity contracting workflows for event, venue, training, sponsorship, and similar agreements
  • Coordinate contract reviews, approvals, system updates, and related purchase order activity
  • Organize procurement data for operational reporting and spend visibility
  • Identify incomplete, unclear, off-process, or exception-based requests and escalate appropriately
  • Identify recurring request types and manual process steps to support automation, catalog enablement, standardization, and process improvement
  • Report to the Director of Procurement

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in business administration, supply chain management, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 1–3 years of experience in procurement, finance operations, or contract administration preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced, queue-based environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow up professionally with internal stakeholders and vendors
  • Comfort working with business systems, tracking information, and process-driven workflows
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and related productivity tools
  • Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment
  • Ability to appropriately escalate questions, exceptions, or unclear requirements
