About the role
- Staff Cloud Engineer leading secure, automated cloud platforms for Kinaxis’s AI-powered supply-chain orchestration. Improving CI/CD, infrastructure, and self-service delivery with Kubernetes, Terraform, and multi-cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
- Solve complex challenges as a trusted technical lead
- Drive a DevOps mindset and collaboration within the Cloud Platform Engineering Team
- Develop and enhance cloud reference architectures and guide teams on implementation
- Influence architectural decisions
- Improve CI/CD pipelines
- Build secure, high-performing, resilient, and efficient cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline delivery processes and enhance services
- Provide a seamless experience through self-service and modern approaches
- Mentor and lead junior team members in industry best practices
- Lead code and design reviews for high-quality deliverables
- Stay current with the latest cloud technologies and trends
- Build and run a cloud platform enabling self-service deployments, CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and Kubernetes delivery via ArgoCD
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent related discipline
- Expertise in one major cloud vendor
- 5-7 years of directly related increasingly complex experience in cloud engineering roles
- Experience working in a high-tech, global environment preferred, on one or more enterprise grade software applications
- Experience with public cloud platforms, both console and API (GCP preferred)
- Experience automating cloud solutions, including applications, infrastructure, storage, platforms, and data
- Experience developing in Go, Python and/or Shell/Bash
- Strong knowledge of system design to manage operational and reliability trade-offs
- Practical understanding of agile methodologies and Scrum
- Experience with GCP, Azure, or AWS
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, HCP Vault, JFrog Artifactory, Datadog, Prometheus, or ELK
