About the role
- Data Analyst building compliance dashboards, pipelines, and regulatory reports for Kraken’s global crypto financial platform. Turning complex data into audit-ready insights and automated compliance workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design dashboards, compliance metrics, and regulatory reports
- Turn data into actionable insights for stakeholders, cross-functional partners, and regional compliance officers
- Automate end-to-end compliance-related data solutions, governance controls, and workflows
- Analyze large, complex datasets and develop scalable, audit-ready data models
- Translate regulatory and business requests into reports and automated data pipelines using Python, SQL, dbt, and Airflow
- Lead cross-functional projects with analysts, engineers, and compliance teams
- Build and maintain high-quality data pipelines and data sources
- Coordinate client data quality monitoring, identify issues, flag remediations, and ensure timely resolution
- Support ad-hoc data requests for audits, examinations, risk assessments, and business needs
- Deliver clear, data-driven insights that shape compliance direction
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis and data management within financial services or a regulated industry
- Hands-on experience in compliance and regulatory reporting across AML, KYC, Sanctions, MiCA, or MiFID frameworks
- Solid understanding of regulatory risk and audit-ready environments
- Expert SQL skills, including complex joins, CTEs, and analytical functions
- Proficiency in Python libraries such as pandas, matplotlib, and plotly
- Hands-on experience with dbt or similar tooling
- Experience setting up and managing data pipelines and workflow orchestration
- Proficiency with BI and data visualization tools such as QuickSight, Power BI, or Superset
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex data ideas to technical and non-technical audiences
- Alignment with Kraken's Tentaclements values
- Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Information Systems, or a related technical field is nice to have
- Solid understanding of the cryptocurrency space and financial markets is nice to have
