About the role

  • Junior Project Manager supporting Kyndryl’s mission-critical technology projects in Alberta. Coordinating PMO activities, project plans, budgets, risks, vendors, and stakeholder reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Support project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout activities
  • Maintain project plans, schedules, charters, status reports, meeting minutes, action logs, risk and issue logs, and related records
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, resources, vendors, access, and deliverable handoffs across business and technical workstreams
  • Track tasks, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, and follow-up actions; escalate concerns promptly
  • Prepare concise status updates and reports for project leadership and stakeholders
  • Support budget tracking, forecasting, time and expense validation, and invoice preparation
  • Help administer Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, and Project Online
  • Build effective working relationships with customers, vendors, team members, and subject matter experts
  • Support multiple concurrent projects and PMO functions under the guidance of senior project managers

Requirements

  • One to three years of IT project coordination or project management experience, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience
  • Formal education or training in project management is preferred
  • Commitment to pursuing the Project Management Professional (PMP)® designation is required
  • Basic knowledge of project lifecycles and Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Visio, JIRA, Trello, Confluence, or SharePoint is an asset
  • Strong organization, communication, documentation, time-management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, take direction, collaborate across teams, and follow through on commitments
  • Customer-focused approach and confidence participating in project meetings
