Project Coordinator supporting Ledcor’s powerline construction projects across Western Canada. Coordinating schedules, procurement, documentation, safety, subcontractors, and project controls.
Responsibilities
Ensure smooth day-to-day operations so projects are completed on time and within budget
Help estimate new and upcoming projects
Assist in developing execution strategies for large and complex powerline construction projects
Coordinate resources with the Project Manager to meet operational objectives
Assist with project plans and schedules
Ensure safety and quality control
Work with project teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
Promote the overall Ledcor site safety program
Assist with subcontractor and supplier selection, procurement, and negotiations
Support project start-up systems and procedures, including site trailer/office setup and master filing systems
Assist with project billings and cost accounting setup
Create and maintain project directories
Review and distribute documentation; prepare correspondence and meeting minutes
Track project milestones and financial deadlines
Maintain files, logs, drawings, and specifications
Support subcontract management throughout projects
Coordinate and maintain request for information (RFI) processes, logs, and binders
Create, input, update, and review project schedules
Follow up on distribution and review of drawings, logs, and transmittals
Prepare purchase requisitions and assist with materials and equipment procurement
Organize project close-out, turnover documents, site demobilization, and documentation archiving
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly project control and reporting
Requirements
Completion of a Degree or Diploma in Engineering
Open to travel for project work on sites across Western Canada, including shift, camp and outdoor work
Up to 2 years related work experience is an asset but not required; co-op/internships and labour positions will be considered
Strong written and communication skills
Able to read and understand construction documents
Strong technical skills, including experience with MS Word and Excel
Ability to solve problems based on clearly defined procedures
Ability to work at remote sites throughout Western Canada
Typical shift of 14 days on and 7 days off
