About the role

  • Law Clerk supporting the Personal Injury Group at Lerners LLP in London. Responsible for managing personal injury files and client interactions in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • General management of personal injury files for both tort and accident benefit claims
  • Acting as liaison between team and client
  • Drafting correspondence, applications, and court documents; summarizing medical records and other records; creating medical chronologies; identifying issues; managing client productions and satisfying undertakings; and generally advancing personal injury claims
  • Preparing Assessable and Non-assessable disbursement lists and accounts
  • Trial and other hearing preparation
  • Maintaining an effective BF system
  • Electronic file management
  • Independently applying approved AI tools to improve efficiency and quality of work, exercising judgment in determining appropriate use cases, and ensuring outputs meet professional standards before use or distribution
  • Other duties as required

Requirements

  • Law Clerk Diploma or equivalent education and experience
  • At least three years of experience as a litigation Law Clerk
  • Experience in Personal Injury or strongly preferred
  • A keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • A strong work ethic
  • The ability to work effectively on a team and individually
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with technology and working in a hybrid environment
  • Experience working with Primafact, Document Management Systems and OneDrive is an asset
