- Senior Software Engineer building scalable payment and fraud systems for Lime, a global shared micromobility company. Collaborating across engineering, product, design, data, support, and finance to improve customer payments and financial efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Backend and Mobile engineers, Product Management, Design, Data, Support, and Finance to define and ship new capabilities
- Ship complex, detail-focused projects
- Build robust, scalable platforms processing millions of transactions
- Monitor system health and use data analytics to understand customer success
- Develop and optimize customer payment flows
- Enable specialized payment capabilities for local markets
- Build tools that improve financial efficiency
- Deliver heuristic and model-based fraud systems that enable payments while preventing abuse
- Participate in shaping Lime's Engineering culture
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software development experience
- Track record of building impactful products or systems
- Experience shipping software integrating external services
- Ability to focus on outcomes and solve problems effectively
- Data-driven approach, including instrumenting work for decision-making and reasoning through customer data
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities
- Customer-focused product development experience
- Payment processing, accounting, fraud, or business operations experience preferred
- Enthusiasm for Lime’s micromobility mission preferred
- Must reside and work remotely from Canada
