About the role

Responsibilities
- Assess residents’ health status
- Provide medical care, emergency care, routine care, and preventive care
- Determine and ensure the implementation of nursing care and treatment plans
- Provide nursing and medical care and treatments to maintain or restore health and prevent illness
- Meet with patients’ families, provide information, address their concerns, and offer support
- Supervise licensed practical nurses
- Prepare residents’ care records and ensure they are completed
- Inform management about residents’ files and prepare reports on care delivery
- Liaise with other healthcare professionals
- Perform all other related duties
Requirements
- Nursing education (college diploma or bachelor’s degree)
- Member in good standing of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ)
- Knowledge of SyMO software is an asset
- Ability to assess residents’ health status
- Ability to provide medical care, emergency care, routine care, and preventive care
- Ability to determine and ensure the implementation of nursing care and treatment plans
- Ability to supervise licensed practical nurses
- Ability to prepare care delivery reports
- Ability to work with older adults
- Teamwork skills and attentiveness to seniors’ needs
