About the role
- Full-stack AI engineer developing agentic applications for Magna’s automotive mobility technology business. Building cloud-deployed workflows, data integrations, and intuitive interfaces for R&D teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain full-stack agentic AI applications
- Discuss user experience, underlying problems, and demands with internal customers and teams
- Design clean workflows for implementation
- Create measurable value for end users through intuitive, efficient, and reliable AI-powered solutions
- Develop agentic workflows, data integrations, and engineering tool connectivity through MCP servers
- Deliver intuitive UI/UX designs
- Analyze engineering processes and identify bottlenecks reducing efficiency, quality, or scalability
- Work with other R&D teams and internal customers
- Evaluate technologies and product designs for compliance with scientific and engineering principles, company standards, customer requirements, and specifications
- Support innovative components and modules from concept through design engineering, validation, prototyping, testing, and evaluation of production-capable processes and business cases
- Provide innovative ideas for products and processes and share new information with team members
- Provide engineering support to other company departments as directed
- Manage innovation projects by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, resolving technical issues, maintaining documentation systems, and preparing progress reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Engineering, including Computer Science or Artificial Intelligence
- 2 years or more experience in SW / AI related industry
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills
- Hands-on experience developing agentic AI applications using CrewAI, LangGraph, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- Experience with agent orchestration, tool integration, and workflow design
- Experience in cloud deployment, including Docker, Azure, and Databricks
- Proficiency in Python and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
- Proficiency with Git version control, Linux terminal, and Bash scripting
- Experience with data structures and databases, including knowledge graphs
- Experience in frontend web development, including Next.js and React
- Candidates will be required to complete a Criminal Records Check and, if deemed necessary, a Credit Check
