About the role

  • Private Lending Associate supporting Manulife Bank’s specialized lending solutions. Managing lending documentation, case coordination, compliance, and Advisor-client service.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for Advisors on ALOC+ lending solutions
  • Assist with case setup, documentation, and follow-ups
  • Support Advisors and clients with lending applications, disclosure documents, and supporting materials
  • Review applications and documentation for completeness and accuracy before submission
  • Identify gaps or deficiencies in lending files
  • Educate Advisors and administrative staff on processes, forms, timelines, and requirements
  • Respond to Advisor and client inquiries
  • Provide case support to Regional Directors, Specialized Lending on larger and more complex cases
  • Coordinate with Underwriting, Credit, Operations, and Fulfillment to progress approved cases
  • Maintain tracking, documentation, and status updates for active files
  • Support escalations and service issues
  • Participate in touchpoints with Regional Director partners on case priorities and territory support
  • Set up and administer lending and deposit business by processing financial transactions
  • Ensure lending file quality, completeness, and security in accordance with audit, compliance, and regulatory standards
  • Maintain records for reporting, tracking, and compliance
  • Identify process improvements and efficiencies
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of bank records and client information
  • Adhere to internal policies, procedures, AML, KYC, and KYA requirements
  • Complete required training and stay current on product, system, and process updates
  • Collaborate and share best practices across Specialized Lending and Manulife Bank teams
  • Participate in team meetings, planning sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in banking, lending, or financial services
  • Strong understanding of lending administration, documentation, and client service
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple files and priorities simultaneously
  • Experience supporting secured lending or specialized lending solutions is preferred
  • Familiarity with advisor-supported distribution models is preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Salesforce is preferred
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence interacting directly with Advisors and clients
  • Knowledge of AML, KYC, and KYA requirements
  • Ability to complete required training and remain current on product, system, and process updates
