About the role

  • Internal Insurance Wholesaler partnering with External Wholesalers to grow Manulife’s Canadian insurance sales. Managing advisor relationships, outbound campaigns, and regional sales opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Make proactive outbound calls to financial advisors to develop, maintain, and expand advisor relationships and build new ones
  • Meet daily outbound call targets for sales calls and meetings booked
  • Gather intelligence on advisors' practices through a question-based selling model
  • Deliver value-added products, service, and advice while demonstrating the merits of Manulife products and services
  • Execute sales campaigns, identify top prospects, and create execution plans
  • Use Salesforce.com to create and maintain advisor profiles and activity data
  • Share business leads and ideas with peers
  • Partner with External Wholesalers to manage a regional sales territory
  • Participate in Manulife's proprietary continuous training program

Requirements

  • At least 2 years insurance/sales experience
  • Proven proactive sales success and experience cold calling
  • LLQP designation preferred (or in process)
  • College or University degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Familiarity with Salesforce
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, including intermediate Excel experience
  • Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Well-organized, self-starter with high energy and creativity
  • Innovative marketing and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to excel in a collaborative and challenging environment with a strong desire to win
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle; occasional travel may be necessary
