About the role
- Project Coordinator supporting Maple Reinders’ ICI construction projects, estimates, and renovations. Assisting project managers with client coordination, margins, quality, contracts, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist with securing project leads.
- Assist with providing project estimates and proposals.
- Collaborate with owners and consultants to design projects meeting client needs.
- Assist the Project Manager to procure, estimate, and run projects valued between $500,000 and $5 million.
- Ensure targeted margins and profits are achieved on every project.
- Ensure work is performed according to contract documents.
- Complete projects with outstanding quality.
- Ensure projects are safe workplaces.
- Represent Maple Reinders to the Owner/Client and reflect the company’s morals, ethics, and standards.
Requirements
- University degree in Engineering, or Engineering Technology Diploma (Civil or Mechanical), or a combination of education and industry experience preferred.
- 2+ years’ experience as a Project Coordinator, Estimator, Business Development Coordinator or Assistant Project Manager in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of ICI construction, with a focus on fit-ups and renovations.
- Proficient MS Office and Windows-based computer applications skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, etc.).
- Ability to use/learn industry-specific software programs such as Maple’s Internal Project Management Software, estimating software, and MS Project.
- Previous estimating experience is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
