About the role

  • Scheduler / Planner developing integrated schedules for Maple Reinders, a Canadian ICI and civil/environmental construction firm. Managing project controls, reporting, resource loading and change impacts across civil construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain consistent and realistic schedules for projects
  • Develop activities, logic, resource loading and progress for fully integrated project schedules
  • Lead creation and maintenance of baseline schedules through submittals, procurement, construction, testing, start-up and commissioning
  • Produce associated reports, including cash flow reports and resource-loaded schedules
  • Liaise with project management, owners, subcontractors and other stakeholders on planning and scheduling matters
  • Report requirements, progress status and new impacts
  • Support timely and effective change management processes, procedures and systems
  • Perform impact analysis
  • Provide in-house scheduling and planning expertise to project teams across all stages of construction projects
  • Support project controls processes and systems on mid-level and larger projects
  • Ensure project teams comply with established systems and procedures while reducing risk and improving project quality

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-10 years of previous scheduling experience in the civil construction industry
  • Advanced knowledge of scheduling software
  • Previous experience using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction logic, procurement sequences, fabrication shop load requirements and construction techniques
  • Degree in Project/Construction Management or Engineering, or Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology
  • Previous construction experience on Water Treatment/Wastewater Treatment projects considered an asset
  • Previous construction experience on ICI projects considered an asset
