About the role

  • Business Development Executive développant les comptes et ventes de Medisca, fournisseur mondial de solutions pharmaceutiques et de santé. Prospection terrain au Québec, visites clients et croissance des comptes existants.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new accounts and develop new business
  • Research prospective clients, visit medical complexes and healthcare professionals, and obtain referrals
  • Identify non-compounding and compounding pharmacies and convert their business to Medisca
  • Increase Medisca’s share of existing accounts
  • Educate healthcare professionals about compounded preparations to increase prescription volume
  • Encourage collaboration among physicians, pharmacists, and Medisca
  • Meet monthly sales targets and monitor profit margins
  • Analyze territory trends and identify opportunities
  • Follow up on sales and product availability by phone or email
  • Propose new revenue streams and products
  • Keep customer data and call records up to date in company systems
  • Provide proactive customer follow-up
  • Generate sales from inactive and new customers
  • Cold-call prospective customers and identify business opportunities
  • Open new accounts and assist with onboarding
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and develop strategies to grow the business
  • Provide leads and referrals for visits
  • Visit customers, attend trade shows and training sessions; travel to customer sites 80% of the time, including overnight travel 30% of the time

Requirements

  • College or university degree
  • Sales or science background is an asset
  • Minimum of three (3) years of sales experience
  • Experience as a pharmacy technician, knowledge of pharmaceutical compounding, or experience as a pharmaceutical industry representative
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and close sales
  • Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Teams, and Excel) required
  • Experience using a customer relationship management (CRM) system; Creatio is an asset
  • Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written, required
  • Candidates must live in the Greater Montreal area
