About the role
- Litigation Associate handling civil, estate, and real estate disputes for Ottawa law firm Merovitz Potechin LLP. Advising clients within an experienced litigation team.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients in a wide variety of civil litigation matters
- Handle estate litigation and other matters as required
- Join the existing disputes and litigation team
- Contribute to client service, business development, and community involvement
- Work with an experienced team focused on personal and professional excellence
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience
- 3–7 years’ experience in a Litigation practice
- Experience practicing law in Ontario
- Must be a member of the Ontario Bar in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Wills and Estates litigation experience is a strong asset
- Real estate litigation experience is a strong asset
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity
- Ability to be both a self-starter and team player
- Engaged in business development
- Excellent technical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
