About the role
- Senior Software Engineer building prediction-market infrastructure and user-facing features for MetaMask’s self-custodial Web3 wallet. Developing secure APIs, real-time data integrations, and transaction-signing experiences.
Responsibilities
- Build core infrastructure and user-facing features integrating Prediction Markets into the MetaMask platform
- Design and implement front-end components and user experiences for prediction market interactions across MetaMask clients
- Develop robust and scalable backend services and APIs to fetch real-time market data, manage user positions, and facilitate transaction signing
- Ensure seamless and secure integration with on-chain prediction market protocols
- Optimize Predict feature performance and security
- Handle real-time data feeds and high-volume transaction throughput
Requirements
- 3+ years working with mobile-based technologies
- 3+ years building websites and/or applications
- Experience with React and React Native
- Strong knowledge of modern Javascript (ES6/TypeScript/etc.)
- Familiarity with blockchain fundamentals and Web3 integration
- Working knowledge of cross platform/browser compatibility
- Experience working with APIs and middleware services
- Experience working in an agile development team
- Experience developing applications with clean code practices, testing, and adherence to coding standards
- Understanding of web-based security considerations
