About the role
- Program Manager running Mila Ventures’ Founders in Residence program. Recruiting entrepreneurs, connecting them with AI researchers, and managing partnerships from sourcing to signed matches.
Responsibilities
- Recruit and assess experienced entrepreneurs and operators for the FIR pipeline
- Build relationships within Mila’s research community
- Manage the FIR selection committee process from initial outreach through partnership signing
- Establish credible relationships with CEOs of venture-backed companies
- Drive performance metrics, including FIR signings, matches made, and conversion rates
- Fix what is not working
- Collaborate with the Program Manager to rethink talent sourcing and qualification
- Launch new streams, including Applied AI and Bay Area returnees
Requirements
- Junior manager level — a few years of experience and ready to lead a program rather than simply support it
- Former consultant at a leading consulting firm; experience in tech or startups is preferred but not required
- Credibility with CEOs of venture-backed companies
- Energetic, motivated, sociable, and mission-driven
- Ability to engage with a CEO and be taken seriously from day one
