About the role

  • Gestionnaire optimisant les espaces, processus et sécurité physique de Mila, pôle montréalais de recherche en IA. Coordination stratégique avec chercheurs, administration, TI et parties prenantes.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and successful execution of the team’s strategic plan, including annual budget monitoring;
  • Define and implement processes to achieve the team’s objectives, including follow-up, evaluation, and post-implementation reviews;
  • Serve on committees focused on space optimization and collaborate with professors, researchers, and administration to improve workspaces;
  • Continue initiatives related to Phase 2 of the work, including implementation, communications with the community, and the management of consultations and improvement suggestions;
  • Act as the physical security lead and manage the implementation and compliance of Mila’s physical security plan with the security firm and IT team;
  • Coordinate communications regarding the physical security plan;
  • Support the implementation of ad hoc projects, including alumni program initiatives, the visitor access policy, and office assignments.

Requirements

  • University degree in a relevant discipline;
  • At least five years of experience in space management, or an equivalent combination of professional qualifications and/or experience;
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to work independently and propose proactive solutions;
  • Demonstrated collaboration and relationship-management skills with a variety of stakeholders;
  • Versatility and adaptability to the needs of different projects underway;
  • Bilingual in French and English.
