About the role

  • Procurement Specialist connecting Moomoo Canada’s fintech business with global procurement. Managing Canadian vendors, sourcing, contracts, and cross-border procurement operations.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and become a local subject matter resource on global procurement policies, procedures, approval workflows, and systems
  • Liaise between the Canadian business and Headquarters Procurement team
  • Coordinate and resolve cross-border procurement complexities
  • Translate Canadian business requirements into procurement requests for global procurement channels
  • Provide Canadian expertise on sourcing, vendor selection, purchasing, contract administration, and supplier management
  • Source, identify, and evaluate local Canadian vendors and service providers
  • Manage quotation and proposal processes and support vendor selection
  • Coordinate vendor onboarding and review business, banking, contract, compliance, and approval documentation
  • Support end-to-end contract management with vendors, Legal, Finance, business stakeholders, and Headquarters
  • Track contract terms, renewal dates, service periods, pricing, and vendor obligations
  • Ensure procurement arrangements reflect Canadian requirements
  • Track procurement requests through approval, purchasing, contract execution, delivery, invoicing, and completion
  • Maintain procurement records, vendor files, contracts, quotations, purchase documentation, and approval records
  • Partner with Finance on invoice processing, payments, vendor setup, and reconciliation
  • Monitor vendor performance and resolve service, delivery, pricing, contract, and invoicing issues
  • Build relationships with local vendors and internal stakeholders while maintaining procurement controls
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements
  • Improve transparency, turnaround time, accountability, and stakeholder experience across Canada–HQ procurement activities
  • Support procurement needs across IT, Marketing, Compliance, Operations, Office Administration, Finance, and other corporate functions
  • Help develop a scalable Canadian procurement function
  • Potentially assume broader ownership of sourcing, vendor management, contract lifecycle management, procurement governance, process improvement, and strategic supplier relationships as the function grows

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, Operations, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, purchasing, vendor management, contract administration, supply chain, or a related function
  • Hands-on experience managing vendor relationships, sourcing activities, quotations, proposals, contracts, purchase requests, and vendor onboarding
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian procurement practices, local vendors, supplier management, and commercial practices
  • Experience supporting or managing contract lifecycle activities, including contract coordination, renewals, pricing terms, vendor obligations, and documentation
  • Experience working within a multinational organization or coordinating with an overseas headquarters or regional procurement team is strongly preferred
  • Ability to learn and navigate complex corporate procurement processes, policies, approval workflows, and systems
  • Understanding of cross-border collaboration challenges
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop practical solutions
  • Strong commercial judgment and ability to evaluate vendors based on pricing, quality, service capability, reliability, risk, and business value
  • Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail when reviewing contracts, pricing, vendor documentation, approval records, and payment information
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of procurement matters
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Fluency in English required
  • Mandarin Chinese strongly preferred
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application
