About the role
- Senior Systems Engineer bridging RF research, software, FPGA, and testing for D-Fend’s counter-drone systems. Developing technologies that protect airspace from evolving drone threats.
Responsibilities
- Act as a focal point and multidisciplinary technical leader during feature development
- Define end-to-end system architectures and technical specifications (HLDs)
- Convert RF cyber-research findings into actionable software, FPGA, and algorithm design requirements
- Guide cross-functional development teams through feature bring-up and integration
- Perform lab-based feature bring-up, cross-functional integration, and debugging
- Lead lab and field testing, root-cause debugging, and complex fault analysis
- Monitor evolving drone protocol updates to keep solutions cutting-edge
- Build internal AI tooling and scripts to optimize system analysis workflows
- Analyze customer issues and propose solutions or system updates
- Bridge RF cyber-research, software implementation, and system testing and analysis of counter-UAS technologies
Requirements
- 5+ years of system engineering experience
- Experience bridging RF cyber-research, software implementation, and system testing and analysis of counter-UAS technologies
- Ability to define end-to-end system architectures and technical specifications (HLDs)
- Ability to convert RF cyber-research findings into software, FPGA, and algorithm design requirements
- Ability to guide cross-functional development teams through feature bring-up and integration
- Experience with lab-based feature bring-up, cross-functional integration, and debugging
- Experience leading lab and field testing, root-cause debugging, and complex fault analysis
- Ability to monitor evolving drone protocol updates
- Ability to build internal AI tooling and scripts
