About the role
- Systems Engineer II automating customer provisioning, databases, BI reporting, and cloud operations. Supporting TraceGains’ technology solutions that reduce consumer-product supply-chain risk.
Responsibilities
- Own customer provisioning from start to finish and lead automation to make provisioning self-service for the Customer Success team
- Restore specific database tables from nightly backups, fix data issues, and support customers with bulk uploads
- Develop, maintain, and support automated processes and services
- Support system migrations, backups, and recovery activities
- Build, optimize, and support BI reporting solutions
- Translate customer business needs into practical technical solutions
- Use AI tools to work smarter and faster
- Grow into Azure cloud administration, infrastructure, and security and compliance work depending on experience
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or a related field
- Hands-on software development experience; Microsoft Visual Studio preferred
- Confidence working with databases, including Microsoft SQL Server preferred, restoring data from backups, making data changes, and handling bulk data uploads
- Experience with business intelligence platforms such as Power BI
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Collaborative, service-minded, and adaptable approach
- Comfort partnering with non-technical teams and moving between different types of work
- Commitment to continued learning
- Bonus: experience with process automation, Azure cloud services and infrastructure administration, or supporting SOC 2 or similar audits
