About the role

  • Geotechnical drill assistant supporting ConeTec Group’s Saskatchewan drilling fleet. Handling tooling, samples, inventory, and field operations in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and supply the driller with tooling and materials needed to maintain drilling operations
  • Handle drill rods, casing, core tubes, and core samples
  • Maintain and organize inventory of materials, supplies, and tooling for the drill rig and support vehicles
  • Assist the Driller, client, and other team members as required
  • Perform regular and repetitive lifting of 50–90 lbs
  • Support geotechnical and geo-characterization drilling projects across the province

Requirements

  • Must maintain and possess a valid Class 5 or 3 Driver's Licence
  • 1–3 years of experience in geotechnical or environmental drilling is an asset
  • Mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair small equipment is an asset
  • Must complete and pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test
  • Experience working in the field, in remote and/or varied weather conditions for extended periods
  • Ability to regularly and repetitively lift 50–90 lbs
  • Entry-level experience accepted

  • Compensation of $23.00 - $28.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications
