About the role
- Geotechnical drill assistant supporting ConeTec Group’s Saskatchewan drilling fleet. Handling tooling, samples, inventory, and field operations in varied conditions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and supply the driller with tooling and materials needed to maintain drilling operations
- Handle drill rods, casing, core tubes, and core samples
- Maintain and organize inventory of materials, supplies, and tooling for the drill rig and support vehicles
- Assist the Driller, client, and other team members as required
- Perform regular and repetitive lifting of 50–90 lbs
- Support geotechnical and geo-characterization drilling projects across the province
Requirements
- Must maintain and possess a valid Class 5 or 3 Driver's Licence
- 1–3 years of experience in geotechnical or environmental drilling is an asset
- Mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair small equipment is an asset
- Must complete and pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test
- Experience working in the field, in remote and/or varied weather conditions for extended periods
- Ability to regularly and repetitively lift 50–90 lbs
- Entry-level experience accepted
