About the role

Responsibilities
- Design and evolve nesto’s backend platform to support growth
- Work closely with the Frontend and Data teams to build and integrate robust data services
- Write clean, modular, testable, and maintainable code while following industry best practices (Clean Code)
- Apply end-to-end technical expertise, including architecture design, coding, automated testing, and debugging
- Analyze and resolve complex or intermittent bugs
- Actively participate in validating new features
- Promote continuous improvement by staying up to date with emerging technologies to enhance the existing architecture
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or university diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical field
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with at least one of the following languages: Go, Python, Node.js, or C#
- Passion for creating user-focused products that deliver tangible value
- Consistent willingness to learn, exchange knowledge with peers, and help grow the team in an inclusive and collaborative environment
- Excellent ability to explain complex technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders, both technical and business-oriented
- Strong attention to detail, technical rigor, and the ability to think about software design for the long term (Systems Thinking)
- Proficient English required: ability to collaborate daily with teams located across Canada, outside Quebec
- French/English bilingualism is an asset
