About the role
- Accounting Intern supporting month-end close and financial reporting at NFI, a global manufacturer of sustainable buses and coaches. Assisting group accounting and Finance operations teams in Winnipeg.
Responsibilities
- Assist the group accounting team with internal accounting activities
- Perform recurring month-end tasks and prepare journal entries
- Learn and support month-end close processes aligned with NFI Group policies and processes
- Work closely with the Accounting Transactions Team Supervisor and Group Accounting Manager to meet deadlines
- Support and interact with functional groups within Finance and Operations
- Ensure accurate reporting for NFI Group’s North American Bus and Coach Business Unit
- Provide ad-hoc support on various tasks and projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Accounting Intern term spanning from September to December
- Ability to perform recurring month-end tasks and prepare journal entries
- Ability to work closely with the Accounting Transactions Team Supervisor and Group Accounting Manager
