Responsibilities
Define and implement the development strategy and value-creation plan for the Minerals and Metals segment across North America
Provide leadership across the entire segment and mobilize the teams and expertise required to achieve growth, profitability, and development objectives
Develop in-depth knowledge of the minerals, metals, and metallurgical markets, including trends, upcoming investments, key players, and competition
Identify priority markets, strategic clients, and growth opportunities across North America
Position Norda Stelo early in strategic projects with clients, project owners, partners, and other key industry stakeholders
Develop and strengthen business relationships with leading clients in the mining, metallurgical, and industrial sectors
Identify and develop new business opportunities related to processes, infrastructure, and associated transportation and material-handling activities in the minerals and metals sectors
Promote Norda Stelo’s various areas of expertise and value propositions to segment clients
Develop an integrated approach that creates synergies among service offerings, particularly processes and rail and port infrastructure
Build a network of partners, collaborators, and strategic alliances across North America
Identify, qualify, and prioritize strategic and multidisciplinary opportunities
Oversee and support the sales process, from target identification through mandate close
Participate in Go/No-Go decisions and develop response strategies for major opportunities
Contribute to the preparation, approval, and closing of service proposals, partnerships, consortia, and joint ventures
Ensure the segment’s performance, growth, and profitability
Establish and monitor business development, revenue, and performance objectives
Manage the opportunity pipeline and business development tools
Collaborate with internal teams to mobilize the expertise and resources required
Present the segment’s performance, market developments, and key opportunities to senior management
Provide inspiring leadership, foster collaboration, encourage innovation, and contribute to the evolution of service offerings and business models
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
10 to 15 years of relevant experience, ideally in the minerals, metals, metallurgy, industrial processes, or related sectors
Significant experience in business development and strategic client relationship management
Strong understanding of the North American minerals and metals industry and its key challenges
Demonstrated ability to develop a strategic vision, identify business opportunities, and lead growth initiatives
Experience selling complex, multidisciplinary professional or technical services
Excellent business acumen and the ability to mobilize teams around a shared vision
French-English bilingualism is a significant asset for pan-Canadian and North American business development
