About the role

  • Responsable de projets routiers MTMD chez Norda Stelo, firme d’ingénierie et d’infrastructures. Gestion d’équipes, travaux, budgets et livrables pour des projets majeurs au Québec.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate road projects for the MTMD
  • Act as the primary representative with the client and various stakeholders
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise the activities of project teams
  • Lead and support inspection or design teams and ensure their engagement
  • Monitor work progress, costs, schedules, and deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, standards, contractual requirements, and quality standards
  • Track quantities, completed work, and payment requests
  • Participate in managing changes, issues, non-conformities, and claims
  • Coordinate communications with the client, contractors, professionals, and other stakeholders
  • Lead and participate in site and project meetings
  • Prepare or oversee the preparation of reports, meeting minutes, and progress-tracking documents
  • Identify risks and implement the necessary mitigation measures
  • Ensure the quality of services provided and compliance with MTMD requirements
  • Contribute to business development and maintain strong client relationships
  • Participate in preparing proposals and developing new mandates

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • Minimum of 16 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, project management, or road infrastructure
  • Significant experience managing and/or inspecting road projects
  • Experience with projects delivered for the MTMD is a strong asset
  • Strong knowledge of standards, methods, and practices applicable to MTMD road projects
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and inspection personnel
  • Excellent project management, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Leadership, professional judgment, and a high degree of autonomy
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Willingness to travel to different project sites as required
