Senior Structural Engineer delivering structural analysis and design for Wood’s oil and gas and energy - transition projects. Hybrid role based in Sarnia, Ontario.

Responsibilities
- Design and size structural elements as part of multidisciplinary projects
- Perform advanced structural analyses
- Prepare, sign, and approve technical reports in accordance with applicable requirements and quality standards
- Prepare and submit cost estimate reports
- Collaborate with the project delivery team to ensure the quality of engineering work and projects
- Provide technical support for on-site work
- Participate in preparing service proposals, contract documents, and bids
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical practices and requirements
- Actively participate in project management as the discipline engineer
- Perform any other related duties associated with the role of Structural Engineer
- Design, analyze, and inspect a variety of structures in the industrial, manufacturing, commercial, and institutional sectors
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Five (5) to fifteen (15) years of relevant experience designing structural elements
- Proficiency with SAFI, ADA, Robot, and/or STAAD Pro (required)
- Excellent priority-management skills in a multidisciplinary environment
- Technical rigor and a strong commitment to quality standards
- Leadership and influencing skills
- Proactive, initiative-driven, and a strong team player
- Fluency in spoken and written French
- Functional knowledge of English may be required when communicating with English-speaking suppliers or partners
