Responsibilities
- Investigate, evaluate and develop solutions to meet long term plant strategies and performance gaps.
- Apply knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project activities to meet or exceed stakeholder needs and expectations.
- Liaison between operations, maintenance, technical groups and outside contractors.
- Conduct cost estimation.
- Review drawings and/or drafting for Mechanical changes.
- Provide technical support to Project Engineers executing capital and non-routine projects.
Requirements
- Registered with APEGS as an Engineer In Training is required with the goal of becoming a P. Eng.
- Demonstrated positive safety behaviour and safety guidance.
- Willingness to learn and gain knowledge and experience through training.
- Excellent interpersonal teamwork and communication skills.
- Motivation to set and achieve goals, take initiative, and nurture projects forward.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
- Preference will be given to candidates with mining or heavy industrial experience.
