About the role

  • Engineer in Training role at Nutrien focusing on mill maintenance and collaborative project support. Engaging with technical teams to develop solutions for operational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate, evaluate and develop solutions to meet long term plant strategies and performance gaps.
  • Apply knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project activities to meet or exceed stakeholder needs and expectations.
  • Liaison between operations, maintenance, technical groups and outside contractors.
  • Conduct cost estimation.
  • Review drawings and/or drafting for Mechanical changes.
  • Provide technical support to Project Engineers executing capital and non-routine projects.

Requirements

  • Registered with APEGS as an Engineer In Training is required with the goal of becoming a P. Eng.
  • Demonstrated positive safety behaviour and safety guidance.
  • Willingness to learn and gain knowledge and experience through training.
  • Excellent interpersonal teamwork and communication skills.
  • Motivation to set and achieve goals, take initiative, and nurture projects forward.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with mining or heavy industrial experience.
